Glad to purchase the food vacuum sealer. The product is well made. It doesn’t sound loud when turned on for vacuum sealing. The bags are well made and don’t smell. It’s very simple to use. Hopefully it will be a reliable product. Only time will tell.Update 10/11/25: I have used the Chef Preserve vacuum and the bags since my Amazon purchase. What a game changer having the vacuum sealer that’s so easy to use for food storage. It’s like having a new toy when I was a child that I just didn’t want to put away.I ordered more smaller storage bags. The bag sealing was very good, but I did have one medium bag not stay vacuum sealed in the refrigerator. After about a week after I sealed the food, it inflated.Here are tips that I learned using the bags:1. Make sure to seal the bag using the small white plastic bag sealer. I then put the bag on a flat surface and use my thumb to press against the top opening, checking for any leaks.2. I held the bags upright and used the Chef sealer to take out the air inside the bag. This also helps when I put frozen food in the bag and watery condensation builds up, which can get sucked out by the Chef sealer.3. If I see too much watery condensation building up inside the bag before I am ready to seal it, I use a paper towel to wipe dry the area around the white plastic attachment on the bag. I then seal the bag and use the Chef sealer to take out the air.4. I handwash the bags with warm soapy water and let them air dry.5. Plastic storage bags can absorb food smells due to their porous nature, which allows odors to cling to the material if the bags are not sealed properly or cleaned immediately after use.6. I reuse the same bags for storing the same foods. Some food put in anything plastic will still have the scent of that particular food. Seasoning meat or fish placed the sealer bags will still have slight scent after you wash the bag. So, when I buy more fish or meat I use the same washed bags.Update 10/23/25: I noticed one bag in my refrigerator; the small bag size that had baby carrots in it was starting to inflate. I checked the top opening to make sure it was sealed, and it looked good. I used the Chef sealer to take out the air again. I decided to put a food label on the white round attachment after it was vacuum sealed. (See arrow.) I put it back in the refrigerator, and after several days it’s not inflating. It looks like adding a label on the white round attachment helps with some bags that don’t vacuum well.

Easy to use and Effective!
Plain and simple. It works! Portable, easy to use. Works better than the original food saver. Works better than the food savers that followed the original. I have tried many! The Chef’s preserve is the easiest and most effective food saver I have ever tried. Small in size, large in effectiveness! Lightweight. Fits in a drawer or cabinet or stands alone on the counter! Love it and I use it daily because I can easily open the bag and reuse!

Small, easy to use vacuum sealer gets the job done!
I own a medium-sized but cumbersome vacuum sealer so had not been using it. This sealing device is small and easy to use, plus I like the idea of the reusable bags. It is not as powerful as the larger one but it gets the job done and I will use it frequently. Be aware that I am a Senior and it’s only me and my husband so I won’t be using it every day and can’t remark on the life of the product.

Great product. Don’t throw out the little sealing aid by accident!
The bags are more substantial than Ziploc bags and at first my arthritic fingers had trouble closing them sufficiently. BUT THEN I discovered a tiny little tool in the box next to the charging cord. It’s a little clip that you attach to one side of the zip and pinch lightly as you run it along the top. Voila ! Sealed tight easily. A good seal is necessary for the device to suck out all of the air. Just gently place the device on the round air valve and press the button. It will do its magic in seconds and shut itself off.This gadget was a happy find as I don’t have space for a countertop machine. The bags are reusable and easy to rinse out and air dry. It’s great for produce that stays fresh and crisp much longer. I reopen a sealed package, take out what I need and reseal. It will compress fluffy foods like drop biscuits, which we’re still edibleInitially

Best Sealer ever!!
This is the best thing that has happened to my kitchen in a while! I used to use a vacuum sealer that I had to drag out and plug in and cut and size the bags. This one is so fast and convenient. It comes with bags that you can wash, air dry and reuse several times. They come is sizes and they are so easy and fast to seal. Just close the zip lock and then align the sealer on the little button on the bag and watch it seal in seconds. I have used them to seal all sorts of foods, and they preserve them all way better than just foil or plastic wrap. Food last longer and tastes great coming out of these bags. The device itself is strong and great quality. It charges fast and the charge lasts long. I love this sealer and want to gift one to all my friends this Christmas!

This works great without taking up much space
I’m loving this vacuum sealer! It was an Amazon suggested purchase around Black Friday/Christmas. With the 90 day return policy at that time, I decided to get one and give it a try. I’m not unhappy with that decision! I’ve always wanted one of the countertop sealers, but have never taken the plunge. This is a MUCH BETTER option, I believe, because it is compact and doesn’t take up counter space. It works great and stays charged for a long time. The bags are good quality and I use them in multiple applications, including the freezer to prevent freezer burn or ice build up on my frozen food.It is made in communist China.

Works great!Unit is small and very light and easy to handle . It seals very well and the bags are nice and thick. The ziploc bags are difficult to open which is hard for someone with limited strength in their hands, I appreciate the tool that helps connect the zip lock.
