Just the basics is all I need
I really love this zester, we replaced an OXO branded version with this one. The reason is the OXO version is too big and it took up a lot of space, but this one was more compact and easier to use and easier to store.

I bought this micro plane zester to replace my little hand-scraping zester tool. It has a comfortable, sturdy handle and is very easy to use… much safer since the other tool would often ‘skid’ along the lemon and cut my fingers! I used this tool to zest citrus as well as grate garlic and ginger with no issues – my knuckles are in tact! You get perfect tiny flakes rather than the long strings from my old zester. I really like how I can easily control how deep into the fruit I zest, as sometimes I want essence, and other times I want a little more pulp for that extra kick for my lemon cookies.
