This heat resistant meat chopper is a total game changer. It breaks up ground meat quickly and evenly and works perfectly in hot pans without damaging cookware. The handle is comfortable, sturdy, and easy to control.I use it for ground beef, turkey, and sausage all the time and it saves a ton of effort compared to a spatula or spoon. This meat chopper was as well crafted and rugged as the reviews indicate. Not too long, good feel in the hand, and surprisingly strong nylon material provides sharp edges that will work well on any sort of ground meat.I normally go with OXO for these sorts of utensils, but this one is truly a better value.

It Mashes and Smashes Hamburger Meat as Promised.
This hamburger tool makes chopping. mashing, and smashing the meat once you have it cooking in a heated pan a breeze. It has a firmer, more narrow stick-free raised surface across the entire bottom that is key in making this device work so well. It didn’t scratch my coated skillets. You can break up the meat easy for sloppy-joe’s.The device is thick and substantial, but also light and maneuverable. The red is a nice pop of color. Definitely better than a fork or spatula. A must-have for cooking and simultaneously breaking-up or smashing hamburger meat.

I first saw this in a video. I thought it would be a great product to have in the kitchen. It’s good but not great. The biggest problem is that food climbs up the cutting edges and you need to keep a spatula handy to push it back down. I must confess I haven’t used it exclusively for meat. I have mashed eggs, greens, chick peas etc. it does the job well but needs intervention. I am happy it’s in my kitchen but not overly ecstatic about it.
