THIS DRAIN REALLY WORKS!
These strainer systems fit into my bathroom sink drains perfectly! The middle section (plunger) of the old drains needs to removed, which in my case just lifted out. I don’t know how it would work if your current one is attached to your faucet system. When I cleaned out the sink opening prior to installing this new item, I realized just how much hair was already in the drain so I pulled all of that out. To install this new one, all you have to do is push it down into place making sure the outside rim is flush with the sink bottom. To clean it, you just pry off and lift out the entire system which is also very easy to do, This item fits so tight that when in the closed position actually keeps the water in my sink until I press the plunger part to release it. My old plugs were never tight enough to kept the water in the sink, even when new 11 years ago! Bottom line, this really works and I highly recommend it if you want to avoid hair and other small articles getting into your drains. Now I just have to figure out how to get one of these in my tub which has an entirely different drain plug system.

GREAT AT KEEPING THINGS FROM GOING DOWN THE DRAIN
I have been using one of the two I purchased for about 6 months now. My first picture shows the used one vs the unused one.It does fit the drain in a bathroom sink perfectly. Very easy to use and works well in catching debris from going down the drain.The downside with 6 months of use: You have to work the silicone band on the underside a bit to get it to seal properly or the sink won’t hold water. The hard plastic cage around the stopper comes off too easy. The biggest issue though is the metal mesh is beginning to come apart and pokes you if you are not careful. I have also noticed some black degree getting caught up in the mess that I can’t seem to clean out no matter how much I scrub. After 6 months, this is proving to be a great idea, but not made for durability.

These are okay, but do not fit fully flush with my sink. Really annoying to have a gap between the product and the base of the sink.

I ordred two of these drain plug/strainers for my fifty year old bathroom sink. The lever plug wore out years ago. It fit ALMOST. My drain opening is just a tad too narrow for it to fit all the way into the drain, but close enough. It catches hair and debris well that can be rinsed out. Now, here’s the HOWEVER…just this morning, I lifted it out to clean it, and I accidently dropped the little plunger button, and it went right down the drain! I got a flashlight, and drain snake..trying to fish it out. No luck. it must be sitting in the drain trap. I just hope it stays there, and doesn’t get so gunked up that it causes a clog in the trap. Then, that will require a plumber’s visit.It was strictly my fault, not a fault of the item. The little plunger has some weight to it, and dropped right down the drain.I will keep the screen part in the drain to strain out hair, etc. It comes right out to clean. Just use caution if you are clumsy, like me.
