A must have for every kitchen
Having severe arthritic hands, just received package with the three items enclosed last evening and already had to use on a small, crushed garlic jar this morning. Had to squeeze handles together tight to grip lid but simplifies the opening process. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve dreaded having to open all new items whether it be jars or bottles. Granted, jars can be tapped w/ butter knife around the edge or on cabinet tapping in a circular motion though soda bottles had become my worst nightmare. Can’t mention all the cuss words I’ve used in the past (due to Amazon community rules), but let’s just say they were not pretty. Anyway, lightweight, easy to use & worked well. Comes with the 3 items shown in picture giving you optional selections. Would highly recommend for not only seniors because I now consider this a kitchen staple.

These Simple Devices Open EVERYTHING!
Having had a total of seven hand surgeries (and probably another coming up), my hands are “challenged,” to put it mildly. I have tried all sorts of gimmicks to no avail (outside of silicon sounds to help me grip a jar more tightly while I struggle to open it). If I lived alone, I’dd be in a world of trouble…. Enter the Jar Opener for Weak Hands, Seniors w/Arthritis, 5-in-1 Multi Function device(s). Oh. My. GOODNESS!!!! For the first time ever, I can open jars, water bottles, and every other type of container completely out of reach to my challenged hands! Popping off the top of a water bottle – Ezey Petz! Opening a tight jar? Not a problem? Jars of different sizes? Got it covered (or should I say “UN”covered?!) Run, don’t walk to purchase this nifty solution to weak hands. Don’t wait for somebody to visit only to encounter a countertop filled with bottles and jars of all sizes and shapes you have lined up for them to help you with. Reasonably priced – brilliantly designed. Nirvana!

Game changer
These are a game changer! I have arthritis and these have helped me so much! They are very functional and easy to use. I can open any type of bottle with these. They are also comfortable to use . Highly recommend!

Good overall, does the job
this was good at first and definitely helped with the issue of opening bottles and lids of my jars. But the grip got harder over time, but overall it helped with speed of opening.

Great trio of products!
I gave this as a gift and it received rave reviews! My friend is very happy with this and very pleased I gave them to her. The middle product in the picture is my favorite, and hers too! From pop tops to wine bottles, to ketchup, this is super! Truth be told, I bought it for her just for that tool, and since it only came in a set, the other two were bonus gifts! Easy to use, store, very durable and easy to clean!

Marginally useful jar opener set
The jar opener “for weak hands” works okay for tight lids and caps, but only if your grip is plenty strong enough to make it grasp the lid or cap. Otherwise, it just slips around. I can use it, but only by holding it really tightly and that kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing, doesn’t it? Someone with bad arthritis or grip weakness would be disappointed with this jar opener. The bottle opener/tab lifter, along with the red grippy thing, are nice additions to this set, so all in all it is a reasonable value but not the perfect solution to opening jars, etc. Recommended with reservations. Hope this helps.

It works!
After partially rupturing a tendon in my right hand a few months ago, I have more difficulty opening jars now, and have tried various jar opening devices. I saw this one in a review posted by Consumer Reports, written by a young women who lost the lower part of one arm and has to do everything one-handed. She recommended (and demonstrated in a video) how she uses this to open jars. Very impressive. It has several openings to fit various sized jar lids, and also comes with a smaller device for bottle lids and a 6 inch diameter rubber mat for a non-slip base to keep the jars in place. The only thing I found difficult is the need to be able to grip the handle to keep the opener closed around the jar lid. I guess I am going to have to learn to use my left hand for that due to lack of hand strength and trigger finger on the injured hand, but still, this is the best jar opener I’ve found and I would recommend it. By the way, one trick I learned (and maybe everybody already knows) is to take a dinner knife and gently tap the handle around the lid in several places first before trying to open the jar. It seems to loosen the seal enough to make it open more easily.

Works well most of the time.
The entire package is great. The 5 in one doesn’t exactly fit jars correctly so it is a bit of a challenge from time to time. The bottle opener is fully functional and the jar mat works well wit most jars. There are always jars that are difficult to open and I’ve had to find work arounds because the 5 in 1 doesn’t always work. It is fairly light and I store it in a drawer. No problems.

Works great. A coworker recommended this specific set to me. Was worried the components might come in a big ugly bag all messy and confusing, but it comes in a compact flat box you can store the stuff in should you want to. The rubber gripper tool helps me open tight Gatorade/Gatorlyte bottle caps that were making my hands so sore before — had been previously struggling using a towel for leverage for 5 minutes to try to open those and now can crack and twist them off so easily thanks to this product. Even ordered an additional set for my boyfriend’s family!
